Top Affiliate Marketing Tips

Many of my clients ask me for my best affiliate marketing tips. So I have created a list that I am going to share so that more people can use them.

If you know anything about me, you’ll know that I’ve had quite a bit of success selling online.

This is what made all the difference for me with affiliate marketing:

Cultivate trust. Building trust with your connections is essential. Without it, there will not be many purchases. The most powerful and fastest way to build trust is to give. Provide lots of free advice, free information, and even your own time and effort, if needed. Once you’ve freely given, people will be happy to give it back.

Know your product. To be successful in affiliate marketing, you need to know that product inside out, with all of its attributes, both good and bad. Do not promote or recommend products that you have not personally used. If you promote a product you’re not familiar with and it turns out to be no good, you’ve lost the trust you’ve been building.

Show the results. People love images and if you can show the results with an infographic, even better. If not, please provide some detailed results of what happened when you used the product.

Please provide as much information as you can. If you don’t answer one of the questions that pops into your buyer’s head, then they can easily click elsewhere and you’ve lost them.

Add your affiliate link multiple times. Your buyer can decide to buy at any time while reading your copy. Make sure to post the affiliate link multiple times so they can buy. Don’t forget to make the most of images to link to through your affiliate products. Before you know it, you’ll be an affiliate marketing aficionado.

Make a YouTube video. This will get you more traffic and is another opportunity to demonstrate your product to viewers. YouTube is a very powerful search engine and performs well in Google search results as well. Be sure to add your affiliate marketing link to your video as well, both on the screen and in the information area.

Bonuses are powerful. Everybody wants something free. Providing a bonus gives your customer a good feeling and is a way of saying ‘thank you’.

Check your results and test, test, test. You need to know what works well and what doesn’t so you can replicate it accordingly. Testing gives you the opportunity to see what works best with your busy. Maybe they prefer their affiliate link to be in one particular place over another and you won’t find out without trying it out.

Focus on benefits. Profits are what sells a product. Be sure to point them out to buyers. How will it make someone feel or act? How will your product make a difference? This type of information is what people buy.

Be honest. Always be honest. Don’t try to fool someone, you won’t get very far and you could waste an opportunity. No spam or scams.

Make a list. Building an email marketing list is one of the best things you can do in affiliate marketing.
