let your skin speak

Whoever said that “beauty is skin deep” was right in many ways! True beauty is, in fact, all about your skin. So, if you haven’t paid enough attention to your skin, you better start early. Ignore your skin now and you’ll pay for it later. Pamper your skin now and you will make heads turn forever. Oh really! Such is the charm of good, healthy skin.

To start taking care of your skin, start from the basics. Know your skin. Is it overtly dry or do you have an oily T-zone or is it blemishy skin with dark spots? Is your skin allergic to something? Do you often suffer from pimples? When you’ve answered all of that and more, it’s time to start a disciplined skincare regimen.

Healthy skin always leaves a mark. But health cannot be acquired; it needs to be developed from within. To do this, drink 10 to 15 glasses of water regularly and flush out your system. Avoid junk and oily food, opt for plenty of vegetables. That would help remove harmful toxins from your body.

Analyze the skin care products you use. Sometimes some brands are more suited to certain skin types. Therefore, use the right products for your skin. If you can’t decide for yourself or are considering other possibilities, it’s always best to consult a dermatologist or skin care expert for advice on natural skin care.

Protect your skin from the sun. Excessive exposure to the sun can be excessively damaging to the skin. UV rays not only tan the skin, but also cause premature aging, wrinkles, sagging, and discoloration. In extreme cases, skin cancers can also develop due to excessive sun exposure. A tan would fade over time, but the serious consequences of overexposure to the sun would set deep to cause you problems later. So be careful before going out in the sun. A good sunscreen (SPF +30) does only 40% of the job. It becomes ineffective shortly after sweating. You need to reapply to keep the purpose. But all said and done, UV rays would still affect the skin. Therefore, it is better to reduce the time you spend outdoors or dress in a way that covers as much of your body as possible. Wearing wide hats to shade your face can be an idea.

Treat your skin gently. Do not rub creams, toners, or cleansers into your skin. Even while washing your face, lather in the palm of your hand, then apply to face. Rinse with lukewarm water and wipe clean with a soft cloth.

Make sure you don’t clog your pores while applying your makeup. A skin that does not breathe, ages before its time. Remember, if you must apply makeup, keep it short and simple. Clean your skin regularly, drink water, change your diet, switch to a proper skin care routine and start collecting compliments!
