Les Miserables, a film review

Being the main and the most important is what we always want, to be the center of everything, but do we always have to be one of the main characters in each person’s story? Have we ever thought about being different? Or love people by being unusual, being the person you really are and doing the things you want? Be unique in your own special way? How I would like to be. She loved a boy who was also in love with another beautiful young woman. How I would like to be yours. How I wish I was never alone again. How I wish to be happy and spend the rest of my life with him. Oh, how I wish I had yours, but I can’t. Loving him brought strange things to me, he used me to get to know the young lady better and be closer to her even though I have already begged for her precious love. How I wish he would do the same for me, but all I want to know about her is what’s in her and why can’t I be her. I am Eponine, a miserable but pure-hearted woman who symbolizes the rain. The rain that gives people hard times, pain and sometimes stuck, but the rain that is also the reason for the growth of plants, the freshness of the air, an ecological option to keep the compost moist and the reason why which people see rainbows. . Because rain is not only something negative and not beneficial, rain is something that people should enjoy and thank God for every drop that it spills. This is the story of a beautiful young woman who has always been miserable and has never been the center of another person’s life. That despite her desperate life, she was the reason the two lovers are entwined. She paved the way for her love and sacrificed herself for the person she truly loves. She may not be the protagonist of the story titled Les Miserables, but without her everything will not be the same.

There was a beautiful woman whose life was so miserable and tragic. From her She became pregnant at an early age by someone who betrayed her and left her with great responsibilities that take her daughter away from her. Although she was poor, she tried her best to have money to look for her daughter. The woman was called Fantine, a brave woman who gave herself to her death to find a way to find her daughter, Cosette. Before she died, she asked Jean Valjean to find Cosette and raise her with the love she always wanted her to feel. As he promised her beloved, Jean Valjean sought out Cosette and did his best to reclaim her from the strangers who adapted her. A few years later, Cosette became a beautiful young woman who was raised and cared for by her father, Jean Valjean. Although they live with love, they hide from Inspector Javert and the authorities who were looking for her father, who stole a loaf of bread long ago. Marius saw Cosette and for the first time they meet, they were already in love with each other. Marius asked Eponine for help, he wanted her to look for the girl he fell in love with and to know her name and where she lives. Marius did not stop persuading her to help him, not knowing that Eponine secretly admires him. Every time she tries to help Marius, she just feels desperate and miserable thinking that she would be alone forever despite her feelings, she thinks of helping Marius search for Cosette until they meet again. Eponine was very upset, but she chose to shout and warn Cosette and her father that Inspector Javert would come to them. The war started again, Cosette and her father fled to hide from Inspector Javert and the authorities. Cosette left a letter declaring her love for Marius, unfortunately, Eponine found the letter which made her feel upset. She kept the letter until she decided to give it to Marius in the midst of the war against the French authorities that led to her death. Before dying in Marius’s arms, she declared her secret love for him. Marius was sad about the death of his friend but it made him feel happy when he read Cosette’s letter. As he was seen at a young age, Gavroche chose to fight for his dignity and her rights. Many men died during the war, including the young Gavroche and Marius’s friend Enjolras, who raised a red flag before being shot, symbolizing his pride in the dignity and rights of people. Inspector Javert was eaten up by his conscience and regretted what he had done so much seeing the bloodstains and the bodies of the people who died, he chose to die by jumping into the river as well. Jean Valjean decided to give the hand of his daughter to Marius who married Cosette. Before her father died, he gave her a letter that told her everything she needed to know and answered all her questions on her mind. This is considered as a realization for Cosette. She found out everything by finding out and looking for answers about what really happened before. She only responded to her mind when she was able to interpret and understand everything.

The critique of formalism is a type of critique that leads people to solutions that are answered by understanding and interpreting what actually happened. Les Miserables can be a form of formalism critically due to its plot. No one narrated his story. Audiences will be able to recognize the film through their interpretation of the events and settings shown in the film. It is a kind of tricky movie that the viewer will be able to fully understand by analyzing every situation that happens in the story.

As one of the audiences reviewing this film, the uniqueness of the setting appealed to me the most. The music scenes and conversation tune take away the boredom of the movie which got people’s interest to watch the movie. Each character’s effort brings a different kind of appeal. Gavroche and Eponine were the ones that attracted the most, their emotions are stronger than the rest of the characters, the emotions they conveyed came from their heart, which can make the audience feel the same. The scenario was realistic which made people believe that each scenario was true and real. The way people reacted to each scene made the movie more intense and exciting. People were satisfied after seeing the movie. Although Eponine was not the main character, she was able to show the audience that no one needs to be a main character in everyone’s life, just to be important. That everyone is important enough to live the life they want to live. That each person is unique and different, no one should change just to be appreciated by others, because each person is God’s creation, and if we cannot please people, then they are not worthy of us because there are not always people who value us , we just don’t seem to notice them. We always think that we are miserable and desperate, but we are loved, loved by our family who always loves us no matter who we are. God, you fix people and love us unconditionally no matter how broken we are.
