Moving to the Lake of the Ozarks?

The center of Lake of the Ozarks is near Bagnell Dam on Osage Beach. While Branson is Missouri’s showroom and St. Louis is the tourist attraction, Lake of the Ozarks is easily Missouri’s playground.

Lake of the Ozarks has as much shoreline as the state of California, state parks, and hills. It has a host of fun activities like golf, boating, shopping, and flying. The restaurants with entry and exit by boat are one of the interesting features of the lake along with the dinner cruises and the sunset views.

Many of the 18 local golf courses were designed by players like Arnie, Jack, and Robert Trent Jones. With such great weather all year round, the golf courses open early in the season and stay late into the fall.

The Osage Beach Premium Outlet Mall is the largest in Missouri and not only draws people to the lake, but also offers all the shopping that locals need. With more than 100 outlets in 13 buildings, you will find much more than the Levi’s store and the Kitchen store. There are plenty of other shopping opportunities too, but the outlet mall reigns supreme on the Lake of the Ozarks.

What makes Lake of the Ozarks special is the abundance of lakeside real estate with piers and coves. And the variation between the main canal areas and the private coves means that there is always something interesting in abundance. You will be amazed at the size of the yachts on the lake and the number of residents and vacationers who take advantage of the water.

More than pleasure boat entertainment, hunting and fishing also attract many people to purchase real estate on Lake of the Ozarks. The lake is stocked with sea bass, crappie, catfish, and paddlefish. And if you are an avid hunter, you will appreciate the turkey, deer, rabbit and the varied migratory birds of this region. Of course, there are always state parks, beaches, party piers, and restaurants for the less “adventurous” people.
