Hypoallergenic solutions to control allergies to cats

Cleaning the house and bathing the cat are very helpful in reducing cat allergies, but sometimes they are not enough. My suggestion for this is cheap hypoallergenic solutions like allergen-reducing pillows or mattress covers. Even if you’ve kept the cat out of your bedroom and washed your sheets regularly, sometimes those pesky allergens will stick to you and your clothes. So these pillows and covers are designed to help with this problem. I bought the pillow for ten dollars at old Wal-mart, and I’ve seen them at Bed Bath and Beyond for fifteen. Mattress covers are about twenty at Wal-mart.

You can also buy Febreze Allergen Reducer; reduces up to 75% of allergens. Spray that stuff on everything, couches, beds, rugs, and all of the cat’s belongings like condos and toys, it works just as well as those air cleaning filters, but it costs you next to nothing!

Don’t buy those expensive vacuum cleaners to pick up loose hair! Although they are gems and reduce allergens, they are not worth breaking the bank. I know for a fact that a regular vacuum cleaner with carpet cleaners with a special hair-lifting formula works just fine. Whether it’s pet formula carpet shampoo or the powder you spray all over the carpet then vacuum it up or both work just fine.

And until your allergies are under control, use Claritin or Benadryl to help ease your symptoms. Although I strongly suggest you keep the cat out of your room and off the counters.

Try these simple tips and let me know how it works! It has worked for me and I hope it works for you, because sometimes getting rid of your cat is not the easiest solution.
