Healthy practices for oily skin

that makes it worse

Is it true that all your efforts to improve your oily and acne-prone skin are in vain? I guess maybe you’re using the wrong cleanser, or maybe you’re using too many acne products in one day. Also, rubbing the skin vigorously intensifies the skin blemish process and tends to increase oil production. Sometimes impatience is the reason behind the annoyance. You may be the impatient type who is always switching between different products. This leaves harmful effects on the skin. Blotchy skin is the result of your careless or ridiculously loving attitude.

Here’s what you can do to stop it before it makes things twice as bad:

1. Morning:

Wash your face with a less rich or creamy cleanser, but also make sure it has ingredients that dry out the skin. Use cleansers that contain acne-fighting ingredients, such as salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. They are beneficial for your skin. However, check that you are not using too many products with the same ingredients. Not a healthy practice, again.

Attempt:

Use Aveda Outer Peace Foaming Cleanser ($24 only). Contains oil of wintergreen (a form of salicylic acid), along with anti-irritants including tamanu oil and saw palmetto, which have a calming effect on inflamed skin.

2. Afternoon:

After cleansing, use a blemish treatment product to soothe skin breakouts and protect skin from getting more. Apply a small amount to active blemishes or gently rub into more sensitive areas like the jawline or forehead.

Attempt:

You must use Neutrogena’s Rapid Clear pads, which are only $6.99. Contains salicylic acid created with a technology called MicroClear that helps reduce the size of blemishes, prevents redness and puffiness in an amazing eight hours.

3. Once a week:

Take time to apply a face mask with ingredients that cleanse oil at least twice a week. The masks are produced with active ingredients, which are effective in controlling the oil within the skin and also help to cleanse the pores deeply and properly.

Attempt:

Use Cellex-C Betaplex Clear Complexion Mask, which is affordably priced at just $39.50. Contains clay (kaolin and betonite), healing herbal ingredients like peppermint, olive leaf and green tea, and glycolic and salicylic acids to exfoliate oily skin and give it a naturally healthy appearance.

Care your skin!

Stress has harmful effects on the skin. Stress increases the growth of a hormone within the body called cortisol, which in turn stimulates the skin to produce excess oil, or sebum. To avoid stress, exercise, take long walks, or even laugh to help keep your stress level down. Less stress, healthier; you healthy, fresh looking skin!
