• However, if you are replacing an existing unit, it will require a little more work and a special adapter because your old system was most likely installed using the 3-bolt system and because Waste King uses an easy mount system, you will also need to purchase an adapter kit for around $10 to allow it to fit properly. • To ensure a good airtight seal, make sure that before you complete the final turn of the circlip, you put a little soap under the rubber gasket. That way you won’t have leaks.

• The high speed motor (2800rpm) grinds up food residues with ease and the machine is very quiet when running because it has been very well insulated, however due to the powerful motor when you first turn it on it can sometimes sound louder than you. imagined, but if you add a small amount of dishwashing detergent this will lubricate the impellers and should solve the problem.
• DO NOT place the following foods in any waste disposal unit: coffee grounds, bread, pasta, or any other starchy foods.
• When these food debris are ground up, they become like thick glue and clog the unit and pipes.
• Also, never overfill your unit as this will damage it. Gradually feed the debris with COLD water and let it do its thing before adding more.
