The human factor

The state of perpetual inequality that exists today has outraged millions of Americans. The harsh realities of life have been completely alien to a government and certain individuals who could make a difference but don’t. They have existed for the sole purpose of glorifying and preserving themselves.

The needs of millions of Americans have never been fully realized, always shunned by the power structure of self-serving bureaucrats. When the government initiates some semblance of relief to ease the economic burdens of so many, it does so with such secrecy that the end results have always been pathetic.

The wheels of government continue to move too slowly and when they finally do act, their actions are mostly self-directed. As a consequence, gross inequality continues and more Americans will suffer the realities of the already impoverished multitudes.

One can’t help but wonder how things are today, will we be synonymous with being in harmonious union with each other, as a society that has become so disillusioned? When so few control the media, the financial system, and even our government, our society is not controlled by a democratic process, but rather is being manipulated by an unelected power structure.

Today, the democracies of the world are dominated by the oligarchy. A ruling class elite that has systematically taken control of governments. Without the knowledge of the public, they have deceitfully maneuvered into positions of power and control. It seems that we are powerless in the face of such aversion to restore the basic principles of our foundation.

As long as the divisions continue, this oligarchy ruling class will continue to have absolute control over society. We see what is happening with the continued support of Trump and the administration whose failure to act on the implementation of the reforms that would alleviate much of the financial burdens that contribute to our nation’s inequality. The divisions caused by the past Administration continue their ripple effect that mirrors the great divisions in our nation today.

There are many discernment questions that need to be resolved. Has our society strayed from the communion of man? It is this communion that unites us all in harmony with each other, with nature and with our environment. The human race should have evolved to a point at this time, the 21st century, where the aggressive violent behavior that has been around since Cain murdered Able we would have grown intellectually where reason, commitment and empathy set aside our aggressive tendencies. . However, the world is dominated by aggressive violent acts perpetrated against each other.

When we think of all the wonderful innovations and inventions that the mind of man has devised, humanity has the ability to put aside the aggressive and violent behavior that continues to disrupt man’s ability to bring harmony to our world. Unfortunately though the will to do so continues to elude many, especially those who are in a position to do so. They are the ones who have the availability to influence and educate society in ways to foster the human spirit of goodwill towards all living things.

Their inability to actively commit their resources to the common good runs deep. When we have certain individuals in control of the institutions that could and should be used to make a difference, they are more inclined to accelerate the status quo that continually benefits them. Today’s government is no different.

Human nature has always been linked to the temptations of greed and lust for materialistic gratification to quench thirst. This happens when they are recipients of money, or have great influence over others. It is this behavior that has permeated many in our government and many who have already been beneficiaries of the wealth.
