If you are considering getting your certificate in nursing but are wondering how to get CEUS for your profession, there are a few options available. One option is the Nurses Association of North America (NANA), which offers more than 170 continuing education courses for nurses. While members are able to take all of these classes for free, non-members can pay just $39 per year for unlimited CEUs. Other options are online courses that can give you CEUs, as well as ANA-approved courses that you can take for free.

CEUs are not difficult to get but they can be difficult to track. It is recommended to set a halfway point when obtaining them. The halfway point could be one year, 1.5 years, or even two years. Setting a deadline forces you to work hard and focus. Ideally, you will renew your license before that date so you can start getting more CEUs. However, if you don’t have the time to do this, you may want to make it a quarterly or bi-annual process.

However, LPNs can earn unlimited CEUS through independent study.
